Project Title: Fears/Phobias/Dread

Project Review:

I had to learn how to control time in order to be successful. As a slow worker, doing all the work in a short period of time was very hard for me. But it helped me to develop myself better and create better outcomes. On the other hand, I am a person who doesn't like to get out of her comfort zone. It was a big step for me to discover using different tools. But Foundation Plus made me realize that experimenting with different techniques is crucial to being a successful designer. Learning how to use the main system which is workflow also gets easier every day.

I chose Interior Design as my BA Course because I realized that I am a person who creates rooms in her mind all the time. Wherever I am, I look around and create the environment in my own imagination. I believe that the room you are in really helps changing your mood. I want to create interior spaces that make people satisfied.

Project Concept:

Since I went to the Science Museum, the part that made me very excited was the space part. It made me feel very inspired and I wanted to create something about it. As a person who wants to study interior design in the future, I tried to connect space with not only astronauts and spaceships but also with blank environments. I decided to create a blank space as my background. While researching, I also saw that there are people who are afraid of spaces and staying alone. This made me want to symbolize my own fear which are clowns. I want to give a message of how we can overcome our fears. I think that I need some photo blocks in order to create my background and use lots of colorful markers in order to symbolize clowns. Or I am also thinking of creating a short film where there will be a model standing in a blank background. He or she will have a towel in his/her hand and when he/she will pull the towel over his/her head it will turn into something I really like.

Evaluation:

To evaluate my work I found ten key words about the topics that I thought of using and drew them in my sketchbook. Then I explained everything on my reflection page on workflow. While analyzing and creating most of the work by myself, I also did group work and asked for a one to one review with my tutors. With their help I realized that thinking outside the box and not only focusing on one theme assists a better outcome.
